This year's World Book Fair is special for us as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of Orient Blackswan publishers (formerly Orient Longman).
Orient Blackswan and its understated, excellent team have been our friends and partners from the day we started our own publishing, in April 2000. They have been distributing our books and supporting us in all sorts of ways, quietly, with no fuss. We are honoured to be a part of their stall, sharing space with their excellent titles.
One highlight: you will find all the books in the Hedgehog and Fox Series at the bookfair. There are more than a hundred titles in this series, which we copublish with Ashoka University, under the editorship of Rudrangshu Mukherjee.
And finally, in the year when France is Guest of Honour at the World Book Fair, we are the proud publishers of Corinne Lefèvre's magnificent work, Consolidating Empire: Power and Elites in Jahangir's India, translated from the French and published with the support of the French Institute in India and Ashoka University. This, and many other books are on our shelves at the Book Fair. Please come!
